Waxase Consulting and Training Services was established in January 2023 as a First Nation-owned company dedicated to supporting communities across Alberta, British Columbia, and the Northwest Territories. Our primary goal is to assist First Nation communities with housing-related challenges, provide training for home occupants, and offer expert advice to housing managers on maintenance and safety.

With two decades of experience in the construction industry and direct engagement with First Nation communities since 2017, Waxase was founded with the vision of delivering high-quality training and consulting services in the housing sector. More recently, my services have expanded to include safety implementation for housing staff (also smaller companies) and Quality Assurance, which encompasses visual home inspections (coming at the end of 2025). While these inspections are not code-compliant, I am actively working toward incorporating code inspections in the near future.

At Waxase, we are committed to the belief that First Nation people have the knowledge, insight, and dedication needed to address the housing challenges faced by communities across Turtle Island. Outsiders, often lacking an understanding of our culture, kinship systems, and way of life, cannot fully comprehend the unique needs of our people. This is why hiring First Nation-owned companies is critical to finding sustainable, culturally appropriate solutions for our housing issues.
